Simulator for OpenVMS Alpha Systems Version 4.0
XD Ada MIL-STD-1750A Simulator Version 4.0 for OpenVMS Alpha Systems is
a product extension to the XD Ada MIL-STD-1750A Version 4.0 for OpenVMS Alpha Systems
cross-development software product jointly developed by HP Enterprise Services
UK Limited and Digital Equipment Corporation (now Hewlett-Packard), which
provides a validated implementation of the full ANSI/MIL-STD-1815A-1983 Ada
language.
XD Ada MIL-STD-1750A Simulator Version 4.0 for OpenVMS Alpha Systems
provides support to run and debug programs developed under XD Ada on a
MIL-STD-1750A simulator running on the host processor.
XD Ada Features
XD Ada MIL-STD-1750A Simulator Version 4.0 for OpenVMS Alpha Systems
supports all of the features of XD Ada MIL-STD-1750A Version 4.0 for OpenVMS Alpha
Systems on the Simulator.

The following features are provided:

Full support of the normal XD Ada commands allowing
execution and symbolic debugging of

Simulated targets, each of which has a unique
identity, can be created in the current process or in a subprocess and is
available for use by any other process in the same UIC group.

Input to and output from the user program on the
simulated target is supported.
·
Simulation features include simulated timing of
program execution.
Host Software Components
The XD Ada MIL-STD-1750A Simulator Version 4.0 for OpenVMS Alpha Systems
host software consists of the following:

Run-time system object code library — Provides the support
required at run time; only the modules used by a program are included at build
time.

The Simulator for the MIL-STD-1750A — Provides the
execution medium, debugging and simulator features.
