Description

 

XD Ada MIL-STD-1750A/SIM50A Version 2.1 for OpenVMS Systems is a product extension to the XD Ada MIL-STD-1750A Version 2.1 for OpenVMS Systems cross-development software product jointly developed by Digital Equipment Corporation (now Hewlett-Packard) and EDS (now HP Enterprise Services), which provides a validated implementation of the full ANSI/MIL-STD-1815A-1983 Ada language.

 

XD Ada MIL-STD-1750A/SIM50A Version 2.1 for OpenVMS Systems provides support for the Software Engineering Associates SIM50A simulator. It provides the ability to run and debug programs developed under XD Ada on a MIL-STD-1750A simulator running on the host processor.

 

XD Ada Features

 

XD Ada MIL-STD-1750A/SIM50A Version 2.1 for OpenVMS Systems supports all of the features of XD Ada MIL-STD-1750A Version 2.1 for OpenVMS Systems on the SIM50A simulator.

The following additional features are provided:

 

·         Execution and symbolic debug of Ada programs on the host using the MIL-STD-1750A compilation system and tools.

 

·         Simulation features of the SIM50A simulator including simulated timing of program execution.

 

Host Software Components

 

The XD Ada MIL-STD-1750A/SIM50A Version 2.1 for OpenVMS Systems host software consists of the following:

 

·         Run-time system object code library — Provides the support required at run time; only the modules used by a program are included at build time.

 

·         The SEA SIM50A simulator for the MIL-STD-1750A — Provides the execution medium, debugging and simulator features.

 

Target Software Components

 

The target environment consists of the following:

 

·         Run-time system — Provides the following:

 

   Predefined language environment

   Tasking system

   Interrupt support

   Input-output support

   Storage management

   Expanded memory support for simple programs in address state 0, and for up to 16 concurrent programs running in separate address states

   Program initialization and termination

   Mathematics support

   Exception handling

 

The target software is supplied in source form so that it can be reconfigured.

No target hardware is needed for XD Ada MIL-STD-1750A/SIM50A Version 2.1 for OpenVMS Systems.

In addition to the host software listed in the XD Ada Version 2.1 for OpenVMS VAX Systems, System Support Addendum, or XD Ada Version 2.1 for OpenVMS AXP Systems, System Support Addendum, the following is required:
